As revealed on Twitter, a new announcement should be coming to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program this week.

Whispers circulating about a certain Call of Duty game arriving on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility last week became so present on social media, Microsoft had to take to Twitter to keep people from getting their hopes up. Xbox Platform PM Lead Bill Stillwell took the lead on shutting down the rumors.

So, we’ll be keeping our eyes open for new games this week. In the meantime, if Major Nelson hasn’t Tweeted about it yet, odds are the game isn’t on backward compatibility.
