For Honor‘s third year of content, titled Year of the Harbinger, has much to offer in the near and far future, so Ubisoft is laying it all out in a new Deep Dive developer diary.
The Year of the Harbinger is made up of four seasons, each with their own new hero. The first season has already been announced, with its respective Knight hero shown off in a short teaser trailer. We get a better look at this hero in the developer diary, along with some of the high-level gear he can rock.
Most details on the remaining seasons are still shrouded in mystery, but based on the graphic used by the Deep Dive trailer’s roadmap, we can hazard a guess as to what their weapons will be. In addition to new heroes, players can look forward to new events, gear, maps, balance changes, and more coming this year, like the Harbor map dropping in the first season update.
For Honor‘s first season of Year of the Harbinger kicks off on January 31st with the launch of the Vortiger hero, Harbor map, and more. Only season pass holders will have access to the hero on the first day, with it coming one week later to non-pass holders at the cost of in-game currency, but the map will be free for all players day one. Fans can see this new content in action during a developer livestream going down tomorrow, January 24th, at 9 a.m. PT.
