For Honor

Apollyon, the sinister villain from For Honor‘s story campaign, is bringing the game’s brave warriors a new multiplayer event, complete with a unique cooperative mode and tons of loot to collect.

The Apollyon’s Legacy event trailer, which feels like it’s selling us on the wrestling match of the century, shows off the new gear players can collect for each of the different factions, including weapons, armor, emotes, and more.

The event’s new content will be available for stand-alone purchase, using the game’s in-game Steel currency, with a good portion of the new loot acquirable through the Apollyon Bundle. Going for 25,000 Steel—starting February 22nd—the bundle will unlock the Apollyon’s Wolves Mask Outfit, the “I Am War!” emote, the Age of Wolves Battle Outfit, the Apollyon’s Might Embossing, the Iron Legion color swatch, and the Blackstone Elite color swatch. Helpfully, the bundle’s price will adjust based on any gear players have already unlocked.

Players will get to show off their new digs in the event’s new mode, Test Your Metal. This cooperative mode tasks squads of up to four players with taking down boss characters from the game’s campaign, with the challenge progressively increasing with each round. New enemies will be rolled in each week, upping the difficulty every time.

For Honor‘s Apollyon’s Legacy event is live in the game right now, and runs until March 8th. Any players that sign in even once during the event will be thanked with an exclusive Apollyon’s Crest emblem outline.

Those out there still concerned that For Honor‘s servers are a wasteland need not be concerned anymore, as publisher Ubisoft recently announced that For Honor has hit a player base of 7.5 million, with over a million unique players signing on every month. For those that need even more incentive to jump into the Apollyon’s Legacy event, the game recently started its fifth season, Age of Wolves, which introduces major hero rebalances and more.
