For Honor

Ubisoft has detailed the third content season of For Honor, Grudge & Glory, with a developer trailer offering a deeper breakdown of the upcoming content.

At the forefront of Grudge & Glory are two new heroes: the Highlander and Gladiator. The Highlander belongs to the Viking faction and wields a massive claymore sword, giving him long reach and the opportunity to seamlessly transition between offensive and defensive fighting styles. The Knight faction’s Gladiator takes his enemies down with a trident and small shield. The shield can be used to punch and stun foes, following it up with relentless jabs thanks to the hero’s massive stamina pool.

Two new arenas are launching at the start of the season, alongside the heroes. The Sentinel is a ruined castle featuring a ballista with which players can blast away their enemies, while the Viking Village is precisely what it sounds, a snowy Nordic town that boasts some barrel-themed traps of its own.

Players can get a glimpse of all the new heroes and maps in the trailer below. The maps will go live for all players at the start of the season, but only season pass holders will get free access to the new heroes at launch. Players without the season pass will have to wait a week to get their hands on the new fighters, and only after paying a whopping 15,000 in-game Steel each.

Other changes coming to For Honor in season three include a new Legendary gear rarity, and increase to 40 for the hero reputation cap, the introduction of Duel Tournaments, and more. The season will launch alongside a game update that will make some major changes to the current experience, such as design tweaks for various duel arenas to make them more fair.

For Honor‘s Grudge & Glory season launches August 15th, free across all platforms.
