Twin brothers David and J. Kyle Pittman, whose credentials include BioShock 2, Borderlands 1 & 2, and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, have revealed their first-person action roguelike Eldritch.

Inspired by Lovecraftian lore and, apparently, Minecraft‘s visuals, Eldritch blends first-person shooter elements with the randomly generated levels of a roguelike. According to the developers at Minor Key Games, Eldritch is the the result of frustration from “the excess of AAA game development and feeling creatively stymied.”

Eldritch launches on Windows PC October 21 through Steam Greenlight. You can pre-order Eldritch for $15 on its official website.
