Former GameStop VP Sentenced 51 Months for Mail Fraud

Frank Christopher Olivera, former VP of corporate communications and public affairs at GameStop, has been sentenced to 51 months in federal prison for embezzling over $1.7 million by way of mail fraud.
The judge also fined Olivera $57,375 and ordered him to pay an additional $77,275 in restitution.
According to case documents, Olivera sent payments from GameStop to a fictitious Neveda-based company called Cloud Communications from July 2009 through April 2011. Those payments would be deposited in a Cloud Communications account, then transferred to his personal bank account.
