Epic Games has confirmed that the Tactical Assault Rifle will be the first addition to Fortnite Season 9.

“This robust and precise assault rifle is the ideal option for tight quarters,” the in-game tease reads. An exact release date for this weapon was not shared, but it’s expected to make its debut with this week’s update.

Epic Games kicked off Fortnite’s ninth season last week, bringing with it a new Battle Pass, new points of interest, the Fortbytes system, slipstreams, and more.

In other news, the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am tournament will be returning next month as part of the Fortnite Block Party, a two-day event in Inglewood, California.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
