Epic Games has revealed that it will be adding the new Rift-To-Go item in this week’s Fortnite Battle Royale update.

According to the in-game tease, this new item acts like a portable rift by firing players into the air upon use. Rifts were introduced as part of Season 5 and send players high into the air upon stepping into them, allowing them to redeploy their glider. This new item should come in very handy for players who find themselves trapped in the storm with a lot of ground to cover.

The Rift-To-Go will be added to the game with tomorrow’s update.

The developer also teased a new developer update for later this week that will include information about separating players using controllers from those using mouse and keyboard on consoles.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
