Fortnite Battle Royale’s 5.0 update arrived yesterday with a nice little bonus for Nintendo Switch players.

Following the update, players on Nintendo’s console can now make use of gyro/motion controls when playing the game. Motion controls can be turned on via a new option found in the game’s settings.

As well as motion control support, update 5.0 kicked off the start of Season 5, revamped the map with new locations and biomes, added the All Terrain Kart vehicle, and much more. Read the full patch notes here.

Epic Games was recently asked about the possibility of Fortnite‘s Save the World mode making the jump to Switch, stating that there are currently no plans for it.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now as a free download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
