Epic Games has brought back Fortnite Battle Royale’s Solo Showdown limited-time mode.
Solo Showdown is Fortnite‘s answer to competitive play and sees players competing to earn the most points. Points are awarded depending on where players finish in each match across 25 matches, with the winner getting a total of 50,000 V-Bucks.
“Trying to prove yourself on the battlefield? Queue up for the Solo Showdown mode for a hotly contested Battle Royale experience,” Epic adds. “Unlike other LTMs, Solo Showdown will not change core gameplay of the current Solo mode. Instead, you will be placed against other self-selected competitors making this the ultimate test of survival.”
As well as V-Bucks, the best performing players get the chance to compete in future Summer Skirmish events.
Earlier this week, Epic Games released a small update for Fortnite Battle Royale that nerfed the game’s various SMGs in response to complaints from players.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
