Epic Games has released a new update for Fortnite on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.
The big new addition this week is the Proximity Grenade Launcher. This new weapon “fires an arcing, bouncing, explosive projectile that explodes when in proximity of an opponent,” according to the developer. The launcher comes in epic and legendary variants, takes rocket ammo, and does 67/70 damage to players and 131/138 environmental damage.
Other changes this week include an increase in the drop chance of Shield Potions, an increase in the chance to find shotguns, a reduction in the drop rate of the common Heavy Assault Rifle, and a balance adjustment to the Storm Flip that gives is a flat damage value of five every second.
The final thing for Battle Royale players is the new Horde Rush limited-time mode. This new mode sees up to four players attempting to survive multiple waves of Fiends while defending objectives. Respawning will be enabled until the final stage when players will have to take down a boss. Horde Rush is scheduled to release on June 13th.
While Save the World players get the new Plasmatron 9000 weapon and the Quantum Countdown Wargames Simulation this week.
