Epic has delivered its latest weekly update for Fortnite that introduces the new Buried Treasure item.

This new addition is a map that players can use to locate buried chests in the world that contain legendary loot. Players must go to the X on the map and dig up the chest using their pickaxe. Only one map can be held at a time and they can be found in floor loot and chests.

The update also reduces the chance of getting infantry rifles and clingers from chests and floor loot, makes several audio improvements, and removes Bottle Rockets from the game.

Finally for Battle Royale players, the Gauntlet Solo Test Event and Gauntlet Duo Test Event are now live. These are a new type of tournament that consist of a single extended session, instead of short sessions. These tournaments will be live until March 9th and have no match limit. However, players will have to pay a “Bus Fare” of two points for each match they play (cannot go into minus figures). The top five percent of players from these tournaments will go through to the Gauntlet Solo Finals and Gauntlet Duo Finals, which are scheduled three-hour tournaments.

As for Save the World, the Highland Warrior Wildcat hero has been added to the Weekly Store and a few issues have been addressed. Read the full patch notes here.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
