Epic Games has pushed live its latest weekly update for Fortnite on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

Kicking things off this week is the introduction of Hot Spots, which are randomly selected locations on the map that have a high loot rate and increased Supply Drop chance. At the start of a match, select named locations will be marked in gold text, signifying that they are a Hot Spot. In Hot Spots, players will find new Loot Carriers that contain a weapon of rare of higher quality and two stacks of ammo.

As well as this, the update reduces the drop chance of Shadow Bombs and nerfs their drop count to two, brings back the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle from the Vault, and reduces the availability of the Combat Shotgun.

“When compared to other items of similar rarity, the Combat Shotgun was dropping a bit too frequently,” the developer explained. “This change will put it closer in line with other items.”

The final new addition for Battle Royale players is the new Fortnite X Jumpman event. During the event, players will be able to take part in the Downtown Drop limited-time mode and complete new challenges to earn the Back Board Back Bling and nine additional styles for it. Players can also pick up the Hang Time Bundle, which includes the Grind outfit, the Clutch outfit, and challenge packs to unlock new styles for them.

Moving onto Save the World. This week, players get the Space Rocks Wargames Simulation, the Rex Jonesy hero, and performance improvements.
