Fortnite's best limited-time mode is returning—here's when

Epic Games is making good on its promise by bringing back Fortnite Battle Royale’s best limited-time mode, Playground, tomorrow, July 25th.

The Fortnite developer revealed with a tweet that Playground Mode’s return will introduce “new team select options” and “lots more loot,” plus the all-terrain kart that was introduced in the 5.0 update. We’ll find out the rest of the changes Epic made to Playground when the patch notes go live tomorrow.

Epic previously teased 1v1 and 2v2 options for Playground, as well as adding aim assist for controllers and being able to damage enemies with your pickax. Fortnite‘s official Reddit account also hinted that Epic was working on making Playground a permanent fixture, though it’s unclear if the mode’s return will still be temporary this time.

Fortnite is celebrating its first birthday by offering Battle Royale players new challenges to complete and exclusive cosmetics to unlock, while Save the World players can finish a new quest to unlock a new hero.

Fortnite is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
