A new bug discovered in Fortnite Battle Royale has been causing quite a stir—in a good way.
Players of the multiplayer game have recently discovered a glitch that can make emotes grow to humorous proportions. It can be triggered by grabbing an All-Terrain Kart, toggling on an emote, and switching seats in the vehicle. As seen in the video below, YouTuber Puppy FTW used the bug to create a gigantic basketball.
While bugs can typically hinder the enjoyment of a game, it appears many Fortnite players are hoping the emote bug is here to stay. According to a thread on the game’s subreddit, many fans have asked Epic Games not to remove the bug, but instead, make it a feature. As they pointed out, the glitch doesn’t negatively affect gameplay or offer an unfair advantage to those that use it. However, having a humongous bucket of popcorn attached to a player will likely give away their location, but that’s something they can just keep in mind.
It’s unclear if Epic will grant fans their wish, though. For now, players that want to try out the bug for themselves should attempt it before it’s (possibly) too late. If a recent leak is to be believed, the developer might already have a fun feature planned for the game’s golf carts. Assets for vehicle decorations were recently uncovered by data miners, so players could get more colorful customization soon.
Fortnite is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
