Fortnite players now have access to a new set of Overtime Challenges, which will be available for the next six days.
Overtime Challenges made their debut in Season 7 due to the season being extended by a couple of weeks. However, it doesn’t look like this season will be delayed beyond its May 9th end date, so it’s odd to see them return.
Two of the six Overtime Challenges are available right now, with the first tasking players with collecting 20 coins from a Featured Creative Island and the second requiring players to place top 10 in Squads with a friend three times. The remaining four challenges will be released over the next couple of days.
Completing the six challenges will reward all players with XP and a new loading screen, while Battle Pass owners will also get new styles for Sidewinder, Ember, and Master Key. Unlike last year, there isn’t a free Battle Pass on offer for completing the Overtime Challenges.
Earlier this week, Epic Games released a new update for Fortnite that introduced the Shadow Bomb, a new item that will make players invisible for six seconds.
