The fourth episode of web documentary Tomb Raider The Final Hours gives a behind-the-scenes look at the inception and development of the game’s multiplayer.
In addition to showing the multiplayer in action, Episode 4 also reveals the inclusion of host/nerd icon Zachary Levi (Chuck) as a playable character in the multiplayer. Swoon.
Honestly, after watching this video I think I’ve changed my stance on the multiplayer. It in no way compromises the value of the single-player. Like Uncharted, it simply adds a completely optional social dynamic—not to mention longevity. And the Uncharted multiplayer is a lot, a lot of fun. If Tomb Raider’s is even remotely similar (which it appears to be) it can only be a good thing.
