Normally, Sony would want to space out putting some of its biggest games up as free PlayStation Plus titles, but apparently that wasn’t the plan for this month.
The two free PlayStation 4 games for this month are Destiny 2 and God of War III Remastered. Either of these games could carry a free month line-up on their own, but both are being jammed into September. Their free launches are both timely as well, with Destiny 2‘s Forsaken expansion launching in a few short days, and God of War‘s New Game Plus update having recently revitalized our god-killing spirit.
Four other free games will join Destiny 2 and God of War III Remastered for this month, as detailed in the official PlayStation Blog post.
- Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition- PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4 and Vita)
- Qube Director’s Cut– PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4)
- Sparkle 2– PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS3 and PS4)
- Foul Play– PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
Additionally, last month’s PlayLink bonus game Knowledge is Power and PlayStation VR bonus game Here They Lie are still available for Plus subscribers.
Destiny 2 is free for Plus subscribers today—one week earlier than normal—so players can try out its upcoming Gambit mode this weekend for 24 hours, starting September 1st at 10 a.m. PT. All the other free games will drop September 4th, along with the full release of Destiny 2‘s Forsaken expansion.
