Aeria Games has announced that the latest entry in the F.E.A.R franchise will be free-to-play title F.E.A.R Online, which is in development at Korean-based Inplay Interactive for PC.

The game will feature several team-based game modes set across 10 maps. Teams will be made up of up of four players and the Soul king mechanic from F.E.A.R 3 will be making a return, allowing players to possess enemies and learn their abilities.

“We are thrilled to present the next entry in one of the most popular horror franchises of the last decade,” said Aeria Games’ vice president of PC games Tom Nichols. “FEAR Online will bring back the tense, heart-pounding action that the series is known for and make it accessible to a huge online community of competitive players.”
