Posted on April 11, 2013 AT 11:50am

PS3 and PC are getting a free-to-play Ridge Racer title, publisher Namco Bandai Games announced today.

Ridge Racer Driftopia is being developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the studio behind 2012′s Ridge Racer Unbounded for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

The announcement came bundled with a trailer, which you can watch on the embedded video below.

“Free-to-play is playing an increasingly important role, so it’s very exciting to be bringing one of our most successful franchises to the free-to-play space for everyone to enjoy,” senior vice president of Namco Bandai Games Europe Olivier Comte said in the press release.

Ridge Racer Driftopia will launch on PS3 and PC sometime this year.
