Friday Fun: L.A. Noire—With Zombies!

THE BUZZ: L.A. Noire‘s disc and Dead Island‘s case—who knew they were such a perfect match, or such a great idea for a new game?
EGM’s TAKE: It’s Friday, and that means we can be a little less serious that we are during the rest of the week.
Like, for example, this photo I found a few days ago while browsing around the internet. The image was submitted yesterday to Reddit, but I’m not certain who the original photographer was (I found it a few days ago on gaming forum NeoGAF). When I saw the photo, I couldn’t help but laugh at how perfectly the two matched up.
And, you know what? I would totally be down for a zombie game set in the 1947s—even better if it was an open-world type of detective game like L.A. Noire. Just imagine it: A series or strange murders, a young rookie cop, and a looming secret too fantastical to believe. We always get zombie games set in the current era, or post-apocalyptic, or other such things—why not be more creative with the idea and what you could do with it?
What two completely different game ideas would you love to see merged into one? Let me know in the comments below!
