Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th: The Game‘s unreleased iteration of Jason from Jason X has popped back up in the game, but this time, players have managed to make him more than just a skin.

The leaked character goes back to late 2017 when hackers managed to find the teased but unreleased skin for the killer from Jason X and attach it to other iterations of Jason. Gun Media was then forced to pull the skin from the game’s files and issue a warning to players caught cheating. However, since the arrival of the survival horror game’s recent massive update, players have noticed Uber Jason has occasionally been appearing in online matches again.

As seen in the video below, one player showed off the cybernetic killer in action. Unlike the last time the upcoming version of the killer appeared, this Uber Jason now has the perks that will likely be attached to him when he officially goes live.

Apart from the metallic and intimidating makeover that Jason receives, it appears he’ll also come fitted with a few buffs. Early in the video, it’s revealed Uber Jason will have the following stats:

  • + Stun Resistance
  • + Destruction
  • + Grip Strength
  • – Can’t Run
  • – Sense
  • – Stalk

While the player who posted the video said that they didn’t hack the game to get Uber Jason, there haven’t been many other players reporting random access to the killer. In turn, it’s unclear if hackers have found a new way to get through the game’s security measures, or if a glitch was in the recent update. Of course, since Uber Jason hasn’t been given a release date, it’s likely the developer will find the source of the problem and fix it as soon as possible.

Apart from this mystery, players were recently given the long-awaited single-player challenge mode, a new counselor, and the weapon swap system. Gun Media also introduced the Salt Mines matchmaking lobby, which is where players caught cheating are sent as punishment.

Friday the 13th: The Game is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
