Friday the 13th

Gun Media and Illfonic are bringing out Friday the 13th: The Game for one last hoorah. The developer announced two new ultimate editions of the survival horror game will launch on September 4th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

As revealed by Bloody Disgusting, the Ultimate Slasher Edition of the game will come in two flavors—standard and a collector’s version. Both editions will come with a physical copy of the game, a limited edition game poster, and all previously released DLC, which includes the counselor clothing and costume packs, emote collection, and Jason’s kill moves.

However, with the Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition, players will also receive an authentic NECA replica Jason mask from Friday the 13th: Part 3D. You can check out all of the edition’s goodies in the image below.

The collector’s edition is currently available for preorder on Amazon for $69.99. However, it’s unclear how much the standard edition will cost, or if a PC version will be available.

While it’s typical for most modern games that have released over a year’s worth of DLC to receive an updated edition, these will mark Friday the 13th‘s last update. Due to an ongoing legal battle between the original film’s screenwriter and director, Gun Media recently announced it will be halting all development of the online horror game. While the developer will continue to implement bug fixes and server maintenance, there will be no new features headed to the game, including the previously teased Uber Jason skin and Grendel space station map.
