Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride developer Halfbrick games have revealed their next title, Fish Out of Water.

According to the developer, Fish Out of Water is about a “a daredevil group of feisty fish” seeking to escape their oceanic confines and explore the surface world.

“We’re always pumped to get new games into the hands of our fans,” said Halfbrick executive producer Luke Muscat. “Fish Out of Water has been an amazing ride so far, keeping the simplicity of Halfbrick games intact but introducing a vibrant personality through all of our fishy characters. It’s a complete package and we’re almost ready to roll!”

Fish Out of Water relies on a one-touch control scheme through which players fling the fish skyward. As mentioned in the trailer below, the game boasts dynamic weather and multiplayer.

Fish Out of Water will cost $0.99 when it launches, though no release date has been announced.
