THE BUZZ: Shainiel Deo, CEO of Halfbrick, makers of the incredibly popular Fruit Ninja, has announced that their Ninja training simulation has been downloaded over 40 million times in China’s Apple Store. In total, Halfbrick has earned over $6 million USD in China alone.
EGM’s TAKE: 40 million downloads is a lot of sliced fruit no matter how you cut it. While most of us knew Halfbrick was doing well financially, their success is China puts it into perspective. With all that chopped fruit, we’re anticipating Halfbrick will soon announce a sequel; Fruit Smoothie. At the very least it would make for a clever April Fools’ joke.
