Fun with Battlefield 3—the exploding suicide jeep

THE BUZZ: Games like Battlefield 3 are about serious, competitive, intense combat—but they can also be about seeing how much fun you can have with the game and the opportunities it presents you.

With that in mind, here is the “Jihad Jeep”—named so by the video’s poster Tokit42 (not any of us here at EGM, just to be clear). The idea? Load up a jeep with C4, drive it around, look for a target, make said jeep (and whatever’s near it) explode. Simple concept, fun results.

EGM’s TAKE: I enjoy videos such as these, because it lets us take a look at the lighter side of games that so many players usually take so seriously. This is the beauty of things like YouTube and the online fan community for games—we get so many different ways to appreciate a company’s project beyond just what they intended for us.
