Game Arts Bringing Ragnarok Odyssey To Vita In North America This October

Game Arts, the development studio behind the Grandia and Lunar series, will be bringing an MMORPG to the PlayStation Vita later this month. But will Ragnarok Odyssey sell in North America?
That’s an interesting question, as XSEED Games just announced today that they would be exporting the Vita-exclusive.
XSEED Games has apparently been working on the localization before their most recent leadership shuffle, but this will be the first product release conducted by the new executive head Shinichi Suzuki.
Ragnarok Odyssey is spin-off of the Korean MMORPG title Ragnarok Online, which released in the region back in 2002. In Japan, Ragnarok Odyssey did well for itself, especially by PS Vita standards.
Aside from earning a 32/40 score in Famitsu magazine, the game sold over 100,000 copies between digital downloads and in-store physical sales.
It hits North America on October 30th, and just like its Japanese release, will come in a few flavors—a standard edition for $39.99, with a slightly more expensive “Mercenary Edition” for $49.99 (that includes a soundtrack CD, plus a 96-page artwork and guide book), and a downloadable version for $39.99 from the PS Vita Store.
