THE BUZZ: Game Gear titles are set to appear on the 3DS eShop in the near future, according to the latest ESRB ratings.

Nintendo promised that Game Gear titles would make the move in time for the 3DS’ eShop launch, however that never happened. Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble have received ratings from the ESRB, so expect them to appear in the next few weeks.

EGM’s TAKE: Fans of these classic titles will be pleased to see them finally making their way to the eShop, and for others it’s a chance to try out these yester-year games. The problem comes with pricing. How much is it acceptable to pay for titles that came out over a decade ago, that have had no improvements implemented? Some die hard fans will pay for these titles no matter what Nintendo asks, but the wrong price point could put new people off from trying these classics.
