It would appear that the Battlefield community is getting a little upset over the exclusive DLC that is being offered for Battlefield 3 at select retailers.
Members of Reddit have started a protest over the Physical Warfare pre-order content pack that will only be available at GAME and Gamestation in the UK.
Fans are unhappy that EA are cutting content out of the full game in order to make it into a pre-order exclusive, one member who claims to have a relationship with DICE had this to say;
“Theres probably no chance that anyone is going to see
this comment but Ill leave it anyway. I have a very good relationship
with a person at DICE, who I dont want to out, who came to me when the
physical warfare pack was announced to get me to look through forums to
find negative feedback about the pack that he could give to his
superiors at EA. He was pissed that they had announced it without the go
ahead of DICE and wanted to show EA the reactions of the community. He
said they now have to do similar packs in other countrys in order to
keep the balance. So yes, the exclusives suck but it was EA marketing that did this and DICE knew nothing about it.”
People have gone as far as canceling their pre-orders in an attempt to make EA change their mind about making the pre-order DLC items exclusive to certain retailers but I doubt it will have an affect.
