Devil May Cry

If you’re a Devil May Cry fan, you probably know that Dante and Virgil don’t exactly get along. That lone piece of knowledge actually adds a lot of subtext to Capcom’s latest trailer for the game, as the DmC: Devil May Cry reboot wastes no time in reintroducing the two half-demon brothers as a Hellspawn-fighting duo, likely destined to fight each other.

Where Dante has been re-imagined as a “punk rock” teenager with a new haircut and a modified trademark red coat, Virgil has gotten a far more subtle redesign.

Losing the Dragon Ball Z hairstyle and quite personality, the new Virgil is actually rather chatty, and holds a position as the leader of the human resistance against the demon hordes.

At least he still has his katana, right? Judging from the trailer below, though, Virgil has other plans in the works, and probably isn’t being quite as forthcoming with his brother about his plans for the human world.
