Street Fighter X Tekken Confirms 55 Fighters On Vita, No Need For DLC
Posted on August 14, 2012 AT 03:48pm
Capcom’s developers just about threw everything they possibly could into Street Fighter X Tekken on the PlayStation Vita, with their latest trailer showing off all the new bells and whistles on the handheld port. If you’ve been burned by the console version or didn’t pick it up for personal reasons, maybe the Vita version will be more your speed.
It’s common knowledge that fans basted the original release for having a huge amount of locked on-disc DLC content, so the sizzle reel wastes little time saying that “55 fighters” are playable from the start.
Along with the large starting character roster, the PlayStation Vita’s touchscreen and rear panel are also used to support a “casual mode” feature that lets players attack while their fighters move and jump on autopilot.
And if you’re already blown a ton of money on the console version’s DLC, all that content can be sent over to your PS Vita copy of Street Fighter X Tekken, for what we assume is a free perk. Of course, this begs the obvious question—exactly why couldn’t Capcom have done all of this at the start with the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 releases?
