Gamescom 2012: PS+ Coming To Vita, Getting Huge Increase In Storage Space
Posted on August 14, 2012 AT 11:05am

At Sony’s Gamescom press conference, the company announced two major updates for their PlayStation Plus subscription service: It’s coming to the Vita, and subscribers will be getting a huge bump in storage space for backing up game saves.
On the Vita side of things, not much to say just yet other than “it’s coming.” Good news for Vita owners who have been waiting for just such an announcement.
As well, next month PS+ subscribers will find themselves going from 150MB to 1GB of storage space. That’s a big jump. A very, very big jump. It might be a little bit of overkill in terms of the storage needed for game saves, but hey—I’ll never complain about having too much over too little. So, if you’ve been running low on space for backing up your saves, or you just like your numbers being bigger, you can look forward to the increase come September.
