Gamescom 2012: Sony Announces New PS Move Title, ‘Until Dawn’
Posted on August 14, 2012 AT 11:18am
Even though the PlayStation Move hasn’t been getting much love from developers and publishers, Sony just announced a new game exclusively built around the motion controller. Until Dawn will be a survival horror PlayStation 3 exclusive, which the aim of recreating “slasher movie” environments.
Sony’s Gamescom 2012 presentation coined the title as something “just like your favorite teen horror movies,” which likely means it drawn inspiration from films like The Blair Witch Project and Scream.
Players will take the role of seven different (and likely doomed) teens, who find themselves lost in the woods, trying to survive though the night in one piece.
Sony previously trademarked the title for the game before Gamescom, so the announcement is a complete surprise. However, the game’s in development by Supermassive Games, who has previously worked on other PlayStation Move exlcusive titles and projects, including Tumble and Start the Party.
