According to pre-order boxes spotted at a GameStop in Ireland, Sam Fisher’s next adventure will be making its way to the Wii U.
An image, posted earlier today on NeoGAF, shows a Wii U-branded box for Splinter Cell: Blacklist sitting on the shelf alongside several games that have already been confirmed for the new Nintendo console, which launches in the US on November 18th.
When Blacklist was announced at E3 back in June, the title was only confirmed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Still, a Wii U port would hardly be surprising, given the strong support Ubisoft has shown for Nintendo’s new hardware. Of the 23 titles that’ll be available on launch day, a whopping 6 of them are from Ubisoft. That’s more than any other publisher—Nintendo included.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is currently slated for release in spring of 2013. Whether or not that date might also apply for a potential Wii U version remains to be seen.
