GameStop Leaks Every Wii U Launch Title, 30 Games Release This Holiday

Usually, hearing anything about leaked information from a major retailer comes with a list of caveats—the source may be old, dates could be placeholders, or it’s all an elaborate Photoshop troll job from some Internet fiend. But this latest rumor has some definite legs thanks to some solid, concrete evidence from a pretty clear insider snapshot of GameStop documents.
That anonymous source tipped off Zelda Informer about the Wii U’s full launch line-up, with a picture of the full list.
Looking at the photograph closely, it definitely looks like an official mass-produced document from a professional source, listing 30 different Wii U titles, all with updated information about when they’ll launch.
Frustratingly, there’s no actual release date appended to any of these games, but here’s the full list:

Most interestingly, that leaves Sega and Maximum Games as the only developers/publishers with titles that may not be launching alongside the Nintendo Wii U this year. If the Wii U is due in stores during the same rumored months that have been discussed around the gaming industry, that leaves the bulk of the 30 games to debut in the “launch window” period that’s clearly aimed at bulking up holiday sales.
Judging by the list’s terminology, that means 22 games will be playable on Wii U right off the bat, with the following bumped to nebulous “launch window” time:
- Game & Wario (Working Title) – Launch Window
- Pikmin 3 - Launch Window
- Project P-100 (Working Title) – Launch Window
- Wii Fit U - Launch Window
It all looks very legitimate, and definitely gives an insight into the launch strategy of Nintendo—they’re putting everything on the table right up front. When the original Nintendo Wii launched, 21 games were ready for consumers to buy immediately.
