Google’s Nexus 7 is aiming to be the next big thing in the tech world, and GameStop is ready to take pre-orders and anything you want to trade-in for the highly anticipated tablet. This week, the video games retailer started sending out promotional ads and various deals for people intending to lock down their own Android Jelly Bean device this July.
Specifically, GameStop is taking pre-orders for the Nexus 7 16GB model, which will run you about $250 and some change.
If you want to cut down that price a bit, GameStop is offering an extra 30 percent of trade-in credit for anything you want to put towards the tablet. That includes other tablets, iPhones, iPods, and yes, even video games:
For consumers looking to trade in an Android tablet, all U.S. GameStop stores are now offering instant cash or in-store credit for Android tablets from a variety of top brands. Trade values, ranging up to $250 in-store credit or $200 cash, are based on model, memory size and physical condition. GameStop also offers a recycling option to help consumers properly dispose of non-working or damaged tablets.
Picking up the Nexus 7 will also net you an installed copy of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, plus 25 bucks’ worth of Google Play credit that you can use to buy a much better movie. And please, don’t spend it on Project X or Wrath of the Titans.
