The company behind Dungeon Siege and Demigod launched a Kickstarter campaign today to crowdfund their next project—Wildman, an action-RPG/strategy-RPG hybrid.

Gas Powered Games’ hopoes to raise a whopping $1.1 million, and claims that future of the company depends on the support of Kickstarter backers.

“We spent all the last dough that we’ve had, and the last several months working on it. So we’re betting the company on it,” CEO Chris Taylor told Gamasutra.

As Taylor mentioned, development is already underway, but they’ve “intentionally left some areas of the game’s design wide open.” This was done so backers could be “active participant[s] in its creation and have a chance to shape its direction.”

The features, as listed on the Kickstarter page, include:

• Going to War: Build your army and fight against opposing champions armies for great rewards in hand-crafted War Zones.
• Exploring the World: Go on RPG Adventures in amazing and epic environments; discover secret dungeons; fight battles against rampaging hordes of monsters; find and equip new weapons and armor.
• Evolving or Dying: Steal technology from your defeated opponents and use it against them in future battles.
• Smashing and Destroying: Advanced physics and destructible environments deliver highly visceral (and bloody) combat.
