Arrowhead Game Studios’ Gauntlet revival will launch on Windows PC September 3, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today.

Warner Bros. also revealed that a tie-in digital comic, Gauntlet: Darkness Calls, which will chronicle the history of Sauronesque villain Morak, will release alongside the game on September 3.

As is frequently the case, players who pre-order Gauntlet will receive an extra weapon depending on where they order it from. If Amazon, it’ll be the Giant’s Bane axe. If GameStop, the Juggernaut of Hakura hammer. If Green Man Gaming, Mordok’s Screaming Hammer. And if Steam, the Azkog the Demon Slayer staff and Reaper’s visage Helm.

WBIE first revealed Gauntlet in March, paired with an announcement trailer.

Gauntlet will be a PC exclusive playable on Windows and Linux operating systems. A SteamOS release is also planned.
