Gauntlet reboot launch bumped back to September 23

Posted on August 27, 2014 AT 10:55am

Arrowhead Game Studios’ Gauntlet reboot for PC has been nudged back from its launch next week to September 23 instead, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today.

According to Warner Bros., the modernized take on the classic co-op dungeon crawler requires a bit more time “to fine-tune details in order to bring gamers an even more robust multiplayer experience.”

The title will, however, still make an appearance at this year’s PAX Prime, which kicks off this weekend, during which Penny Arcade founders Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik and other “gaming/nerd celebrities” will compete in a “special tournament” outside the Main Expo entrance in South Hall.

Gauntlet will launch on Windows PC through Steam come September 23, and will also be available for SteamOS and Steam Machines in 2015.
