THE BUZZ: Pre-orders for the limited edition of Gears of War 3 have sold out on Amazon’s website.
WHAT WE KNOW: Microsoft has been saying for months now that Gears of War 3 is their most pre-ordered title to date and it would appear that they weren’t joking. The limited edition of the game is no longer available to pre-order on Amazon due to it selling out, it usually costs $79,99 and comes with an Octus Service Medal, Adam Fenix multiplayer character and Fenix Family Mementos & Fabric COG Flag.
A major reason for the limited edition selling out is probably the $20 credit offer that Amazon has at the moment, making it one of the best pre-order deals available for the title.
EGM’s TAKE: The $20 credit for pre-ordering is obviously a major factor behind the limited edition selling out, however I wouldn’t worry about getting your hands on a copy come launch day.
