Gears of War

Gears of War 4‘s April update is now available, bringing with it an Easter event and two new maps.

First up, two maps from Gears of War 3 have been brought up to standard for Gears of War 4: Hotel and The Slab. Hotel is now set on a misty cliff-side, with “a long-abandoned reclaimed beauty look that feels right at home in Gears 4,” while The Slab returns to an updated version of Marcus’ prison.

Both maps are available now for season pass holders in the developer playlist, and will be added to public matchmaking on April 11th.

The update also includes a number of weapon tuning changes for both Core and Competitive play, with the Gnasher, Lancer, Hammerburst, and more being adjusted. Get all the details here.

Finally, players will soon be able to take part in “Bunny Hunt,” a new Easter-themed game mode that brings back the oversized Bunny Heads from previous games in a new variation of Guardian. Players can also register for a special playlist over on GearsofWar.com that will reward five Chocolate Easter Egg-themed weapon skins.
