Gears of War Producer Leaves Epic for BioWare, Mass Effect

Posted on July 3, 2013 AT 11:45am

Chris Wynn, lead producer on Gears of War 3 and senior producer on Gears of War: Judgment, is leaving Epic Games to serve as senior development director on the next Mass Effect.

Wynn announced his departure on Twitter earlier today, along with his development role/position at BioWare.

Details about the fourth full Mass Effect are slim to none. We know it’ll be running on the Frostbite 3 engine, and we know it won’t be a direct sequel. We also know that the developers are equally clueless, having polled fans to see whether the next Mass Effect title should be a prequel of sorts or follow after the events of the original trilogy.

Wynn is the latest high-level employee to leave Epic Games, following Cliff Bleszinski and producer Rod Fergusson’s leave.
