The character’s reveal trailer has Geralt duking it out on the Kaer Morhen stage against some of Soulcalibur’s best fighters, using a fighting style that seamlessly combines his sword skill with his magical abilities.
Geralt’s jump to the Soulcalibur universe was recently teased on Twitter by CD Projekt Red’s community manager, Marcin Momot. Momot didn’t originally specify which new series Geralt would be stepping into, but a follow-up tweet from the game’s official Twitter sported a cryptic message that had fans confidently speculating about a Soulcalibur crossover.
Soulcalibur VI does not yet have a set release date, but it is slated to drop sometime this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. There are now nine characters confirmed for the game, with the previous reveals showing off fan-favorite fighters Ivy and Zasalamel.
