God of War

We’re starting to think that Spielegrotte just likes the attention. After recently listing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone title, the German retailer is now possibly leaking a collector’s edition for Sony Santa Monica’s upcoming God of War.

Priced at 199.99 euros, the God of War Collector’s Edition would include, among other goodies, a 9-inch statue of Kratos and his son, Atreus, battling enemies, a duo of figurines based on those carved by Atreus, an exclusive lithograph print, some in-game shields, and “cloth,” whatever that means. Here’s the full list of items pulled from the now defunct store page and translated into English, as posted by Reddit user Lannister1909:

  • BD game
  • 9″ statue of Kratos & Atreus battling 2 Helwalkers
  • Two carved sons toys figurines
  • Steelbook case
  • Exclusive Lithograph print
  • Cloth game world map
  • Digital soundtrack
  • Exclusive dynamic theme
  • Shield pack containing 3 in-game shields

The title’s release date is listed as January 15th, 2018, although given recent confusion, January 15th is almost certainly not the actual release date. Given that it’s one of PlayStation’s biggest upcoming exclusives, we’re sure it’s going to have another epic showing at E3 2017, where we will hopefully get a firm release date. Still, we’ve heard that developer Sony Santa Monica is already thinking about future projects, so God of War probably isn’t that far off.

In the meantime, get better acquainted with the upcoming third-person action game with our rundown of what we already know.
