Middle-earth

Fans can get a closer look at Minas Ithil and the setting of Middle-earth: Shadow of War, thanks to a new video with a focus on gameplay.

Presented by Michael de Plater of Monolith Productions and hosted by IGN, the video focuses on the human city of Minas Ithil. While most of the first Middle-earth game stayed in the camps and wilderness, this one offers up a large city to explore. Roofs and walls provide more opportunities to climb, sneak around to different paths, and spy on your enemies.

The video also shows off the advancement of the Nemesis system. In it, the player dominates the mind of an enemy Orc, extracting information about his commander and where to find him. According to de Plater, each player’s commander in that scenario will be unique.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is scheduled to release on August 22nd for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
