Get a glimpse of Psychonauts 2 in motion with the game's first trailer

The Game Awards 2018 brought us a few new game reveals and some glimpses of games in development, and one of them is a game players have been anticipating for quite a while: Psychonauts 2.

The official first trailer for Psychonauts 2 shows just how good the series’s unique art style looks with more modern graphics, and it gives a hint of the story we’ll see in the upcoming game. Like the first game, it’ll feature third-person platforming fun, tons of mindbending puns, and psychic powers galore as Raz dives into the minds of other characters. Be prepared to “unpack your emotional baggage and prepare to battle your inner demons,” as Double Fine puts it.

This isn’t the first time Psychonauts 2 has shown up at The Game Awards. In 2015, Double Fine announced plans to crowdfund the game. Those efforts raised 3.8 million dollars from investors and fans, covering one-third of the planned development costs. The rest came from Starbreeze Studios.

Psychonauts 2 is currently set to release sometime in 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
