THE BUZZ: In this first of what looks to be a multi-part series of videos, Ubisoft introduces us to the hookblade, a new tool in Assassin’s Creed Revelations that’ll help Ezio out in his adventures.

The hookblade has two main components—the hook, and the blade. (I’m sure you’re surprised to hear that.) The hook part of the hookblade will assist you in traversing zip lines, climbing buildings, throwing foes off guard, and other most helpful uses. The blade part of the hookblade, meanwhile, will be useful for—as the kids might say—”cutting fools down”.

EGM’s TAKE: So, what do you think of this newfangled hookblade? Useful addition to the arsenal of tricks in the Assassin’s Creed franchise?
