Fans of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier are going to have to wait a little longer to get their shot at the upcoming ’Arctic Strike’ DLC package that was scheduled for July 3rd. Apparently, the additional content is in need of some more tinkering, as there’s no new release date.
When Arctic Strike is ready to download, Ubisoft will be putting it up for 800 Microsoft Points and $10 for PlayStation 3′s online network. There’s no PC version, although it would be neat if the addition of such is what’s causing the delay.
According to Joystiq, the devs are taking time for more “polish” and such, but is still aimed for July:
“We decided to take a small amount of extra time to further polish the content,” an Ubisoft representative told Joystiq. “The pack is planned for release later in July and the exact release date will be announced as soon as possible.”
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier‘s chilly DLC is actually pretty mysterious, as Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed much about the content itself. That’s pretty odd, especially considering it was due in a week.
What we do know is that there’s an unknown number multiplayer maps, including a co-op “Guerrilla Mode” map, an additional multiplayer mode, and extra weapons exclusive to the DLC.
