THE BUZZ: Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Ghost Recon Online, which takes a look at the various classes available in the game.

The video focuses on the game’s three classes: assault, specialist and recon. Each supports different weaponry, has unique abilities and offers a squad boost perk. The publisher also announced plans for a closed beta beginning March 5, you can sign up here.

EGM’s TAKE: The game appears to offer everything that a fully-fledged retail Ghost Recon game has, with fast paced high tech gameplay and stunning graphics, except it’s all free. Ubisoft describe it as ”the most social, connected and customisable Ghost Recon experience yet,” which sounds about right considering there’s only an online mode. Free-to-Play games seem to be dramatically improving in quality lately, will this become the future of video games? We certainly hope not.
