God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition Detailed

Amazon.com has lifted the lid on a special collector’s edition for God of War: Ascension, featuring an exclusive Kratos statue and a few other goodies.

The collector’s edition is priced at $79.99 and contains the following:

Exclusive 8″ Kratos Statue
Premium Steel book case
Official Game Soundtrack (digital version)
PS3 Dynamic Theme
PSN Avatar Pack
Multiplayer Double XP Unlock
Pass for future DLC content

The statue alone is worth the extra $20, so if you have some spare change I would highly recommend that you spring for this version of the game. The DLC pass is also a nice addition, although with no solid details it’s difficult to guess what it will be used for. It could either be a pass that offers all future DLC for free, or an online pass that enables you to access new content, similar to Mass Effect‘s Cerberus Network. If it’s the former then this is the must have version of the game.
